George and Amal Clooney Talk Playing Pickleball Together — and Say They Don’t Argue Over Matches: ‘It’d Be So Embarrassing’

George Clooney and Amal Clooney admitted on the pickleball court that they are on opposite sides.

Although they are part of the Cucumber Wave, the pair admitted that they don’t argue much on the court, as their strategy is not to play together — but against each other.

The two explained that while some of their fellow pickleball players argue, they agreed with each other that they were there for “practice.”

“We’re not fighting over a cucumber just because it would be so embarrassing to admit it on live television if you’re fighting over the word ‘pickle,’ you know what I’m saying?” said George, 62 Extra while on the red carpet for the Clooney Foundation’s Albie Awards for Justice on Thursday.

“We play against each other,” Amal, 45, said.

“We play singles because it’s more practice,” George added. “I’m not really that still old.”

George admitted that due to the pair’s affinity for singles, it meant he was “losing a lot” from Amal.

“George and Amal radiated love all night,” Baria said at the time. “The wedding was so incredibly special, it was legendary. These three days – the friends, the families, the atmosphere, everything – will stay with me for the rest of my life.”

Since the couple exchanged vows nine years ago, they expanded their family in June 2017 when they welcomed twins Alexander and Ella, 6.
