The cast of ‘Barbie’ will reunite in the upcoming film ‘Ocean’s Eleven’

George Clooney thinks casting is for a newbie Ocean’s Eleven the movie is on the money.

After it was announced that Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling would play the parents of Clooney’s character Danny Ocean in the film, the 62-year-old actor shared with reporters at the film’s Los Angeles premiere Boys in a boat on Monday.

Asked if he had heard of a new film in the franchise, Clooney said: “Yes! Margot Robbie is my mother? That’s what I always thought.”

“Ryan Gosling is my father,” he continued. “Now that you think about it, it makes sense. Truly.”

“They’re wonderful together,” McNamara told GamesRadar+ in October of Robbie, 33, and Gosling, 43. “The more projects, even outside of that, we can get them to work on would be amazing.”

“I can’t say much, but I think we’re just trying to do the right thing with the franchise,” McNamara continued of the plot. “I’m excited for people to experience it when it’s ready.”

Along with Robbie, her husband Tom Ackerley and Sophia Kerr, McNamara co-founded LuckyChap Entertainment, which produced Barbie and will also produce upcoming Ocean’s prequel.

Robbie’s publicist previously told PEOPLE that the project is “original Ocean’s a film set in the 60s.”

PEOPLE also confirmed that the Oscar-nominated actress will be working with her Bomb director Jay Roach on film.

Roger Friedman’s Showbiz 411 first reported that Robbie and Gosling would play Clooney’s character’s parents.

In the original Las Vegas heist movie, Clooney played ex-con Danny Ocean, who teams up with his friend Rusty Ryan (Brad Pitt) to pull off a heist and recruit a team of crime experts to help them pull it off.

The film, which also starred Don Cheadle and Casey Affleck, spawned two direct sequels: 2004’s Ocean’s Twelve and in 2007 Ocean’s Thirteen. All female Oceanov 8 a spinoff followed in 2018, starring Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway.
