Gerry Turner has some thoughts on the matter Golden Bachelors in Paradise.
Current The Golden Bachelor Lead, 72, said he was wary of the golden singles meeting on the beach for a potential spinoff of the ABC dating series.
“I just don’t know if it’s something I would support,” he said Entertainment Weekly. “But I know that there are a lot of individuals from The Golden Bachelor it would be fantastic on the beach.”
He added: “They would have a blast!”

However, Gerry admitted to PEOPLE after taping Thursday’s Wives Tell All special that he would be “wholeheartedly in favor” The Golden Bachelor.
“I don’t have anything to say about that, just to be clear, but I think it would be exciting because it will continue the theme that we started to be full of hope and be visible in our age,” he added. “Let’s hope it happens.”
But the retired restaurateur refrained from choosing a favorite for the role among the women who fought for his heart in the first season The Golden Bachelor.

“There are 22 women who stand out. I absolutely could not single out one,” he said. “They each have a certain personality that would make the show interesting and charming, and they’re all intelligent, so there’s no bad choice.”
Faith Martin — who was shockingly eliminated during Thursday’s episode — wasn’t shy about throwing her hat in the ring for the coveted position after falling in love with Gerry during filming.
“I really believe in the process,” Faith told PEOPLE. “I feel like I’ve seen it work and lived it. I know that in such a short time you can have such feelings and I trust those producers.”

The Golden Bachelor: After Gerry eliminated the favourite, he said his love for her was ‘sincere’
“It’s like they’re matchmaking gods or something because how can they put so many people in a situation where they’re compatible and can find those feelings and actually find love on their shows?” she continued. “I mean, they’re really good at what they do. So I never would have believed the process could work, but it does.”
“So I think we should continue to do that with this age group, because I think it gives people hope. I think it’s really fun to watch, and I’d definitely like to do something like that,” Faith added.
When asked if he had guidelines for Faith if she becomes The Golden Bachelor, said Gerry, “I don’t think Faith needs my advice. I really don’t. She pulled herself together. She knows what she wants. She knows what she can and can’t do. Yeah, she doesn’t need my advice.”
