Giovanni Pernice and Anton Du Beke have reunited for a new adventure! On Instagram on Tuesday, Giovanni (33) shared a nude photo of him posing with his good friend and colleague from the Strictly Come Dancing series.

Along with the photo, he wrote: “Happy birthday (33) and what better way to celebrate than to share this news with you all!! Me and my best friend just got back from shooting another adventure… and this time it’s in To Spain !! We stopped here to do the laundry. I honestly can’t wait for you to watch it .. coming to you next year on @bbcone and @bbciplayer.”

Causing a huge reaction, Strictly dancer Nancy Xu was among the first to respond, writing “Happy Birthday,” followed by a love heart emoji. Amanda Abbington, who is due to compete on Strictly later this year, also responded. “Happy birthday dear cheekbones!” she joked in the comments. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROTHER!!” added Gorka Marquez.
After the announcement, fans raced to share their excitement about the new series. “Haha @giovannipernice I almost spit out my tea when this popped up on my feed! You two are just the best! Can’t wait for this. Happy birthday today Mr P,” wrote one.

Giovanni also spoke about the new series, explaining: “I’m so excited to be embarking on new adventures with my best friend Anton on this epic road trip around Spain, I just hope we can avoid getting pulled over by the police this time!”

While the first series of this duo focused on life in Giovanni’s native Sicily, in the second part we will see how Anton takes on a love letter to Spain.

Most years, Anton would spend the school summer holidays with his Spanish family in the north of the country, so it holds a special place in his heart. The BBC says the series will see Anton and Giovanni explore everything from “surfing to sangria” and “festivals to flamenco”.
Mel Balac, Creative Director of BBC Studios, teased what you can expect. “We’re thrilled to be accompanying the boys on another epic and intimate adventure. Hold on tight for lots of laughs, a few tears and some new song and dance numbers in the Spanish sun,” she said.
