Giridharan (1992-2022) was an Indian martial artist and Kalaripayattu coach. On June 19, 2022, he collapsed and died while being interviewed on one of his YouTube channels.

Giridharan Karunanidhi, also known as Saan Giridharan, was born in 1992 in Mylapore, Chennai (age 29; time of death). He received his master degree in Kalaripayattu (Southern Style) from the Kalaripayattu Federation of India in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Profession
After completing his training in different martial arts forms, he founded Kalariyil Kshathriya, a martial arts school in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, in 2015. He trained hundreds of students in schools in various art forms such as Kalaripayattu, Karala, Angapor and Kalari Yoga.
Giridharan and his students used to perform in various martial arts competitions and events. He appeared in the martial arts film Aadhiyogi (2018).

On June 19, 2022, the YouTube channel visited his Kalariyil Kshatriya School in Valasaravakkam, Chennai to shoot a video about him for their channel. At the time of the interview, he was at Kalariyil Kshatriya School in Valasaravakkam, Chennai. While performing a particular move, Giridharan collapsed and started feeling sick. An hour later, he started vomiting. His students rushed him to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead. His students said in an interview with reporters,
On June 18, 2022, he practiced continuously without rest for several hours. Exhausted from the strenuous exercise and lack of rest, he eventually collapsed. “
