Before playing in the Pro Kabaddi League, Girish Maruti Ernak was selected for the Air India Kabaddi team. In 2015, Girish was selected by the “Patna Pirates” team to participate in the second season of the Professional Kabaddi League. He was then selected by Bengal Warriors to represent them in the third and fourth seasons of the Pro Kabaddi League.

In 2017, Girish was selected by the team “Puneri Paltan” to participate in the fifth and sixth seasons of the Pro Kabaddi League. He also captained Puneri Paltan in the sixth season and remained a player of the team in the seventh season.

Girish was part of the Maharashtra team that won the 65th Senior Nationals in 2017-2018. In 2018, he also represented Maharashtra in the third Federation Cup. In the same year, Girish also participated in the Dubai Kabaddi Masters, a 6-nation Kabaddi Masters series, which was won by the Indian team. Girish Ernak is in his eighth and ninth seasons with “Gujarat Giants” and “Bengal Warriors” in 2021 and 2022 respectively. He also scored 300 career points while representing the “Gujarat Giants”.

In 2023, Girish was selected by the Maharashtra team “U Mumba” and purchased for Rs 20 lakh to participate in the tenth season of the Professional Kabaddi League held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
