She is believed to have attended a drum and bass festival at Dreamland theme park in Margate, Kent.

This seaside hotspot was the venue for the day-long Worried for Henry event.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police were called at 5.58pm on Saturday 29 June to reports of the death of a 17-year-old girl at QEQM Hospital in Margate.

“An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the death and a report is for the coroner.”

A spokesman for Dreamland said: “We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of a 17-year-old female in hospital on Saturday 29 June.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the young woman and we will continue to work closely with Kent Police where relevant as they investigate this tragedy further.”

South East Coast Ambulance Service and Worried About Henry have been contacted for comment.

It came after a 22-year-old tourist died while “jumping over a wall to escape muggers” after a trip to Brazil for a Madonna concert in May.
