It’s Gisele Bündchen feeling alone in her 40s.
“I feel a lot better at 43 than I did at 23,” the author, entrepreneur and supermodel said during an intimate panel discussion Friday in New York City, announcing her new partnership with nutritional supplement brand Gaia Herbs, which Bündchen just named its first wellness ambassador. “It’s great. I feel so much better — the 40s are amazing.”
Bündchen’s new performance is rooted in her inherited love of plants and nature, passed down to her by generations of women in her family. As she became more involved in her work with Gaia Herbs, a brand she has loved for two decades, that passion—and her excitement for the company’s mission—only intensified.
“When I went to visit the Gaia Herbs farm, it was amazing because I felt really good about the choices I was making. I said, ‘Okay! I haven’t gotten drunk in the last 20 years, I’m better.’ Imagine if I didn’t, that would be a problem. I would have noticed when I was 50 or 60,’” said the global multi-hyphenate.
Bündchen added that she is “excited” to be working with the brand because it is rooted in serving a wider, global community.

Also during the panel, Bündchen talked about how “intense” she is when it comes to her wellness routine, a stark contrast to her younger years in the industry.
“I meditate every day, I exercise every day,” she said. “I’m so grateful to have this body, I really am. Now I’ve learned—because I wasn’t that good in my 20s or teens—I’ve realized that my body is my temple and I really want to enjoy it. So for me, moving the body is huge.”
“This is why I wake up at 5 in the morning. This is why I have meditated for over 20 years. And when I don’t drink, I feel a big difference,” she said, noting, “I haven’t had alcohol in over two years and it’s amazing how much clearer it is [I feel].”

Bündchen’s healthy lifestyle and holistic approach to wellness helped her feel super confident as she marked her return to modeling earlier this year.
And over the past month, she’s been all over the place: returning to Victoria’s Secret, starring in a new campaign with a mega-star cast, making a surprise — and sexy — return to New York Fashion Week in just a denim jacket and leggings, and announcing her new cookbook, Feed.
