Bündchen previously spoke to PEOPLE last year about her “difficult” experience caring for her ailing parents.
“It was a lot – in every area of my life,” the model said at the time. “I feel like whenever it rains, it pours. With all the different twists and turns life throws at us, all we can do is the best we can given what’s going on around us.”
Bündchen added that she’s started meditating and exercising daily to cope, telling PEOPLE, “I think if I didn’t have all the different tools that I have to support me in these times, it would be very difficult.”
