Glen Powell talks about Sydney Sweeney romance rumors.
IN Men’s healthcover story for December, Powell, 35, talked about his rising fame in the year and more than Top Gun: Maverick broke box office records and discussed his time on the set of the upcoming rom-com Anyone but you with Sweeney, 26, in Australia.
Powell’s breakup with ex-girlfriend Gigi Paris, around the same time the film was shot in the spring, fueled rumors that the actors were engaged in an off-screen romance.
“When all these things happened, you know, publicly, it seemed disorienting and unfair,” he said in the cover story. “But what I’m realizing is that it’s just part of the gig now.”
Anyone but you follows Sweeney and Powell as main characters Bea and Ben, whose initial mutual attraction quickly fades “until they unexpectedly find themselves together at a destination wedding in Australia,” according to the official synopsis. “So they do what any two mature adults would do: they pretend to be a couple.”

Sweeney remains engaged to her fiancé Jonathan Davin, with whom she has been romantically linked since 2018. PEOPLE confirmed the couple’s engagement back in February 2022.
When Euphoria star appeared on the cover DiversityIn the August issue of Power of Young Hollywood, she indicated that she and Powell are not bothered by the speculation.

“It’s a rom-com,” she said at the time. “That’s what people want! Glen and I don’t really care. We have so much fun together and respect each other so much; he’s such a hard worker and I’m such a hard worker.”
“They want it,” Sweeney added of fan reaction to the rumors surrounding the film’s making. “It’s fun to give it to them.”

Sweeney even wished Powell a happy 35th birthday in October with a photo that appeared to be taken on the film’s set, which she shared on her Instagram Story. “Happy birthday to my fellow camp counselor, adventurer extraordinaire and goofball,” she wrote in the caption of the post.
Powell and Sweeney were directed by Will Gluck (Easy) in Anyone but youwhich also features performances from Alexandra Shipp, GaTa, Hadley Robinson, Michelle Hurd, Dermot Mulroney, Darren Barnet and Rachel Griffiths.
Anyone but you it’s in theaters on December 22.
