Global awards
The Global Awards are organized by Global Media & Entertainment and reward music broadcast on UK radio stations within the Global Network. These stations include Capital, Capital XTRA, Heart, Classic FM, Smooth, Radio X, LBC and Gold. The awards cover various categories that reflect the songs, artists, programs and news broadcast on each of these stations.
These awards serve as a way to celebrate the diverse and talented individuals and groups in the music industry whose work stands out on these radio stations. They acknowledge the influence of music across genres and formats, from pop hits played on Capital to classic songs on Classic FM.
Each award category is carefully designed to represent the content broadcast on those stations. For example, the Best Song category recognizes standout songs that have captured the attention and respect of listeners, while the Best Podcast category recognizes the growing popularity of podcasting as a form of entertainment and information dissemination.
Paying tribute to the artists, songs and programs that resonate with audiences on these radio stations, The Global Awards not only celebrate the achievements of those in the music and broadcasting industry, but also reflect the tastes and preferences of listeners across the UK. It’s a way to showcase the rich tapestry of music and entertainment that these stations bring to their audiences every day.
