Gogglebox star shares update after family quits show

Former Gogglebox stars have shared details of their new campaign after leaving the hit Channel 4 show in 2022 after looking to explore new opportunities.

The Baggs family, which includes Lisa, Terry and their sons, Joe and George, have shared details of their partnership with dating app Badoo with a new ‘family approved’ feature where members Family members can leave compliments for their singles!

Talking to Tyla, Lisa and Joe joked about the app, Joe explained, “There are probably things I don’t want you to share about me, such as my dating history. Maybe my eating habits. drink mine.” Lisa added: “And the fact that you show that you are very clean and tidy, but at home you are not.”

Joe added, “I don’t know if there’s anyone else in this family that I can trust. I mean, George would be the worst if the Family approved of me.” Lisa agreed and said, “I think Dad will embarrass you. [And] I wouldn’t be too nice. You just want to laugh and make it [other] everyone laugh.”

So why did the Baggies leave the show? They announced their decision to step down in 2022 in a statement that read: “After three great seasons on Channel 4’s Gogglebox, we have made the decision to leave the show. We loved every minute of it. Be a part of the Gogglebox family and it truly is the opportunity of a lifetime.

“With so many exciting opportunities coming our way, we can’t commit to shooting another series, but we are grateful for this opportunity. Thank you for your support during this time. we’re on the show. We hope you’re as excited as we are for what’s to come!”

The frontman later spoke about their time on the YouTube channel Not My Bag, explaining, “We’re the type of people, we just say things and people will say ‘Oh, should I say it? that?’ There were a lot of Goggleboxes that they didn’t let us in because we talked too much. [Terry] he talks a lot, but they never put it. He was abused more than anyone else. People were like ‘let’s get him out'”

The family’s airtime has been reduced in 2021, and viewers believe the family may have been dropped from the show. However, Lisa denied this at the time and said, “I can say unequivocally that this is purely a LIE! Due to Covid restrictions, we are unable to shoot the current series. Channel 4 was great to work with and we hope to return one day soon.”
