Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner Breaks Out Something Blue as Wife Theresa Wears Coordinating Pastels Post-Wedding

Now that Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist are husband and wife they are already coordinating their wardrobes.

Following the couple’s wedding on Thursday night – which was televised live on ABC – the duo were spotted playing with each other’s outfits in complementary pastel combinations.

The The Golden Bachelor72, wore a baby blue sport coat over a bright yellow button-up, a pair of straight jeans and light gray loafers.

Nist, 70, wore a matching pastel ensemble, with a pair of distressed light pink jeans and a light pink, blue and yellow floral blouse — subtly matching Turner’s look. She added a cropped black fur coat and white leather boots to the look.

During the couple’s celebration, Turner wore a sleek black tuxedo, but told PEOPLE that he initially thought about wearing a blue suit for the wedding. “We were talking one evening and came to the conclusion that a black tuxedo would look a bit more formal.”

Meanwhile, Nist impressed in a romantic Badgley Mischka wedding dress. The dress had a strapless plunging neckline and fitted bodice with a mermaid silhouette. It also featured a voluminous tulle train for added drama as she walked down the aisle. The bride completed her look with a matching veil and vintage Neil Lane jewelry.

Nist shared with PEOPLE that she received “unbelievably beautiful dresses” from the fashion house. She explained that they were her daughter, daughter-in-law and colleague The Golden Bachelor contestants Susan Noles, 66, and Kathy Swarts, 70, helped her find the dress.

“I asked each of these beautiful women to pick their favorite. And then I chose three of my own and went down the stairs with them,” explained Nist. “And as for the dress, they all unanimously thought it was a good dress. I think Susan was so proud because I chose it!”

Along with the bride’s formal dress by Badgley Mischka, she changed into an elegant formal dress. The elegant wrap-style silhouette included a sheer skirt which she paired with a cropped feathered jacket.

Before the newlyweds exchanged their vows, Nist organized a boudoir photo shoot during the bachelorette party. Jana Williams photographed Nist in Cosabella underwear together with a colleague The Golden Bachelor contestants Susan Noles, Faith Martin, Sandra Mason and Ellen Goltzer.

Nist posed in a sexy white lace outfit after telling her friends she wanted to do a boudoir shoot. The TV personality explained that she felt so empowered stepping out of the limo on the first day The Golden Bachelor a journey that she felt was the logical next step on that empowering journey – and she wanted them to be a part of it.

The couple’s lavish wedding ceremony was held in Palm Springs, California, in front of friends and family and a few members Bachelor The Nation — including Wells Adams, Ben Higgins, Jason and Molly Mesnick, Desiree and Chris Siegfried, and Trista and Ryan Sutter.

This is the second wedding for Nist and Turner. Nist first married William “Billy” Nist when she was 18 before he was drafted into the Vietnam War. They were married for more than 42 years before he died in 2014.

Turner was also married to his wife Toni Turner for more than 40 years, before she died in 2017.
