Good Morning England viewers were a bit flustered on Monday morning as they turned on ITV to watch news coverage replaced with news of the Women’s World Cup.
The morning news, hosted by Susanna Reid, Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard, usually airs from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. weekdays before handing over to Lorraine.This morning and Loose Women.

However, all ITV daytime programming has been cut to make room for the channel to cover the football tournament.
Viewers were quick to express their disappointment at the series’ absence on Twitter. One wrote: “There’s nothing like #GMB being broadcast to confuse you as to what day it is,” while another added: “Good morning where is England? Why would I want to watch Italy play football at 7am.”

A third confused viewer tweeted: “Did @GMB shut down for the summer? I don’t remember they did that before? #GMB,” while another suggested to the broadcaster: “Why don’t they put football on @itv2 and let @GMB on @ITV1 like they do on #BBC when they have soccer or tennis news.” Don’t just shut down football or tennis news.
While both Good morning England And Lorraine will not air on Tuesdays [25 July]viewers can tune in This Morning, will start later at 11:15am and last just over an hour before comfortable women pick up at 12:30pm

This morning will air as usual on Wednesdays [26 July] and friday [28 July] at 10:00 am, but will start later at 10:45 am on Thursday [27 July].

About Good morning England, the show will return to its regular 6 a.m. slot on Thursdays and Fridays. That moment, Lorraine will air as usual on Wednesdays and Fridays and comfortable women He will be back on Thursday.
The shakeup comes amid a tumultuous period for the broadcaster after one of its top daytime shows, This morningfaces uncertainty following the departure of Phillip Schofield.

The 61-year-old presenter left ITV in May following reports of tension between him and co-host Holly Willoughby.
Then in June, Phillip admitted he lied about an affair with a younger co-star on the show. In a statement, he said he was “deeply sorry” for the lie and that the relationship, which is now over, “was wise but not illegal”.
Since Phillip’s departure, Holly has hosted the show alongside numerous other co-hosts including Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle.

Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary sheltered Holly during her hiatus from the show. Although the presenter has not publicly talked about her absence, it is reported that she is currently on vacation and will return to the show in September. Holly’s exact return date has yet to be announced.
