‘Goosebumps’: Justin Long Gets Possessed as 5 Teens Investigate an Old Mystery in First Trailer (Exclusive)

The latest TV adaptation of the film to get chills, premiering on Disney+ and Hulu on October 13, follows five high school students as they investigate the death of Harold Biddle, a teenager who died 30 years ago. But as they delve deeper into the mystery, they uncover dark secrets about their parents’ past.

“I heard a terrible story about a boy who lived there,” he tells Nora (Rachael Harris) in the trailer, cryptically speaking about Harold and his unfortunate end.

“Yes, I hear it’s haunted,” Nora replies. “Did you see anything strange going on there?”

Nathan shakes his head and adds, “Nothing that I can think of.”

But little does he know that all that will change.

The trailer then cuts to the teenagers – James (Miles McKenna), Margot (Isa Briones), Isaiah (Zack Morris), Isabella (Ana Yi Puig) and Lucas (Will Price) – exploring the Biddle home before what appears to be Harold’s ghost sees how it devours and possesses Nathan.

As the investigation takes them through their school, the forest and the depths of the caves, the teenagers face supernatural threats for which they are ill-equipped. “Some strange things have been going on,” one points out while another says in the announcement, “Something is clearly wrong.”

But not everyone believes in the supernatural as James confidently tells Isaiah, “There’s no such thing as a curse, dude. It’s not real!”

As they slowly begin to realize that the threats are a serious matter, the group of friends vows to take action and fight it. “This is all connected,” Margot says in the trailer. – He is taking revenge for what our parents did to him.

“We have no choice,” adds Isaiah. “This ends now.”

In the chilling final moment, Nathan’s voice can be heard saying, “It’s time for them to know the truth. Come with me.”

Based on Stine’s book series of the same name, which has sold more than 400 million copies in 32 languages, the 10-episode series is based on five novels, including Say Cheese and Die!, The Haunted Mask, The Cuckoo Clock of Doom, Go Eat Worms! and Night of the living doll.
