GREG Rutherford has shared emotional news with fans after a horrific injury forced him to pull out of Dancing On Ice.
Earlier this week, the Olympian, 37, revealed his stomach was “in bad shape” after a “really nasty accident” during rehearsals cut short his experience on the ITV reality series.

Now Greg has shared the heartwarming news on his Instagram stories.
He posted a picture of himself looking dejected as he sat on the couch, yet his little daughter helped lift his spirits.
She was looking straight into the camera as she sat on his lap in a cute logo tee.
Greg was seen kissing her hand and added the caption: “Hugs with Daph,” followed by a red love heart.
The jumping ace has returned home after a test crash, but he is still on painkillers.
While he didn’t clarify the nature of his injury, he told fans this week: “I’m going to see a specialist to figure out a plan of action and everything, but my stomach is not in good shape and it’s going to need fixing.”
Later in the day, Greg hinted that he had suffered an abdominal injury, saying he had an abdominal scan and found it “hurts to laugh”.
It came after he admitted he was “not quite ready” for the show’s finale.
Greg’s withdrawal left Miles Nazaire, 28, Radio One DJ Adele Roberts, 45, and Ryan Thomas, 39, in contention for the title.
At the time he was forced to pull out, a spokesperson for the ITV show added: “Unfortunately, Olympian Greg Rutherford MBE has had to withdraw from Dancing on Ice after sustaining an injury while rehearsing for the final episode of the current series.

“Greg and Vanessa have been such a popular couple in this series and have performed some truly memorable routines.
“We will help support Greg and wish him a successful recovery.”
They added: “We’d also like to thank him for being such a valued member of the Dancing on Ice family.”
It was not the first setback, after the Sun revealed his groin injury back in February.
However, he also faced leaving the show after suffering a horrific injury that nearly broke his hip.
At the time of his withdrawal, his professional skating partner Vanessa James also shared the news on social media, with a post that read: “Unfortunately, Greg suffered a significant injury this morning in rehearsals and will not be able to perform tonight.
She explained, “We’re on our way to the hospital for Greg to be checked out and get the treatment he needs.”
He was the favorite to win the series in 2024, and the Ice King title then went to Ryan.
