Gurugram schools closed till class 5 due to air pollution

Air pollution in Gurugram: As the city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) remains in the ‘severe’ category, the Gurugram district administration has announced that primary schools will remain closed starting November 7. Due to high pollution levels in Gurugram, the district administration has also given schools the option of conducting online classes for students from Kindergarten to Class 5.

The office of the Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram, has asked schools to adopt online classes for students up to class 5. “School administration, teachers and staff are encouraged to make necessary arrangements for seamless delivery of online education,” the DC office said in an official notification.

Continuation of online classes in Gurugram

The Deputy Commissioner added that the decision to resume offline classes will be taken based on prevailing air quality conditions and government directives. The school management will be informed about the decision in a timely manner. Schools were asked to provide students with access to online learning resources and to inform parents about the teaching methods.
