Guy Fieri Gives Touching Speech at Son Hunter's Pickleball-Themed Engagement Party: 'The World Is Yours'

On Sunday, June 23, the eldest son of Guy Fieri and Bernstein, a content creator and professional pickleball player, celebrated their upcoming nuptials with a pickleball-themed engagement party in New York City’s Central Park.

Hunter, 27, and Bernstein are set to tie the knot in June 2025.

For the party, the bride-to-be wore an all-white turtleneck miniskirt and pleated skirt. She shared photos of herself getting ready and at the event on her Instagram stories. Hunter suited up in a white button-down shirt and white shorts. Meanwhile, the guests were dressed in all black, which is typical of Papa Guy’s wardrobe anyway.

A special racquet, knife and chef’s hat logo appeared throughout the party — including Bernstein’s dress and personalized cucumber racquets. But the decoration of the balls did not stop there. The tables were also covered with floral arrangements with baubles in vases.

In addition to the emblem, the rackets are personalized with the message “Game. set. Matching. Forever After” and “Tara and Hunter are teammates for life”.

The Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives The host, who also shares son Ryder, 18, with wife Lori, took time out during the celebration to share some kind words about the couple and having fun.

“I’m just amazed at what I’m watching happen,” Guy began his speech, addressing Hunter, Bernstein and the rest of the crowd.

He added that the couple put on “more events than I’ve seen [at] wedding” and directed his attention to his future daughter-in-law: “You dream of things. We like to think big, too, but I haven’t met too many people who think bigger than us.”

He continued, gesturing around the party, “And you do these little nuances, little things to celebrate Hunter and to celebrate yourself.”

At the end of his speech, Guy talked about what he expects from the couple’s future. “I really have no expectations except that the universe, the world, is yours. You will do whatever the two of you want. I think you will have a great family. I think you will have successful careers. I think you will travel the world. I think you will own it. But what you’ve shown us so far in these first year and a half has been pretty amazing.”

Buddy Valastro baked a special three-tier cake for the party.

The young couple, who got engaged on Thanksgiving 2023, got some extra love at an engagement party from another celebrity chef: Buddy Valastro. The The cake chef alum designed a three-tier cake with vanilla frosting studded with flowers and edible pearls. The lower post read “Congratulations to the future Fieris” and the upper one featured a kitchen ball symbol with a ball and the letters “T” and “H”. In addition, there was a huge diamond ring on top of the candy.

“WE LOVE YOU! So amazing – thank you for our delicious cake,” Bernstein wrote in an Instagram Stories post, tagging Legends of forks star.

On Friday, June 14, the couple shared engagement photos on Instagram and announced that they were exactly one year apart from becoming husband and wife.

Bernstein wore a black cowboy hat with “BRIDE” written on it in white letters, plus a pair of black boots and a white dress. Hunter was wearing his own cowboy hat, white striped shirt and black jeans.

The photos, taken by photographer Zulie Blair, were taken at the Fieri family ranch in California. The ranch will also be their wedding venue, Guy told PEOPLE in February.
