Guy Fieri knows how to win the hearts of football fans — and match them!
While talking to PEOPLE about the return of his Flavortown Tailgate to the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas, the Food Network star dished on the food and “cool aspects” attendees can expect — and some may not even expect it.
Fieri’s eldest son Hunter, who recently got engaged to Tara Bernstein, met his future wife at the same tailgate in February 2023.
“Come to Guy’s Flavortown Tailgate and meet your life partner! It’s Hunter’s love story!” jokes Guy.

In February, Hunter and Bernstein “randomly” met in the midst of more than 10,000 people in attendance at an event hosted in Arizona that broke the record for the largest tailgate ever.
Entertainment 2024 is aiming for bigger and better — this time, right on the Las Vegas Strip.

For Guy, going to a football game is “an experience,” he says, “That’s why people go away! You want to go and have a whole day… You don’t just want to go to a three-hour game.”
However, trailing in the Super Bowl isn’t all that common compared to the 272 games during the NFL regular season. “There’s no back door,” explains Guy, who has attended the Super Bowl many times.
“There are a few parties here and there, but not everyone goes to them,” he says. That’s why he teamed up with Pepsi to create “the best tailgate in the world.”
Best of all, it’s free for fans of all ages. Fans don’t even have to own a Super Bowl ticket to attend. Guy thought, “Why don’t we throw a party for them, let them come and really get the experience, feel the energy of the Super Bowl?”

Along with Pepsi, the event’s presenting sponsor, the Food Network star has partnered with Medium Rare (Shaquille O’Neal’s personal live event platform). Returning to Guy’s Flavortown Tailgate stage is Diplo, who Guy says “knocked it down last year in Arizona.” He is joined by “country superstar” Dustin Lynch, who also provides songs and sounds for football festivities.
“So we have country music. We have mixed music. We have interactions. We have activities. We have great cocktails. We have a VIP area with a view of the whole event,” says Guy. “There are so many cool things happening right off the beaten track in Vegas, behind the big Ferris wheel.”

In addition, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives star says he has Triple D restaurants serving food at the event, along with pop-up restaurants in Vegas. There will even be a Pepsi bar, custom Pepsi cocktails and thoughtfully curated culinary pairings throughout the event.
“Whatever. We got him!” adds Fieri.
“This tailgate is really a dream come true,” he tells PEOPLE. “I’m so passionate about football… I’m looking forward to football season. I wish we could have it all year. I’d be the happiest person in the world.”
On December 12th, fans can register to attend Guy’s Flavortown Tailgate on the official website, where VIP tickets and hospitality are also available for purchase. Cash App cardholders will have guaranteed access to free event tickets for the next 24 hours.
