Gwen Stefani has no doubts that her band’s reunion at Coachella will be epic.
While talking to PEOPLE about another upcoming gig — Stefani will headline a Super Bowl LVIII pregame show in collaboration with TikTok and the NFL — the star said the reunion was an easy “yes.”
“It just happened so fast and that’s my favorite thing that happened. We haven’t really figured out the next steps of how we’re going to do this, but we’re all so excited,” says Stefani, 54. “And I think I’m really just watching the internet explode [with] how excited are the fans? That inspires us.”

“It will be great. It’s just going to be: Get up there and do what we always do, which is play our music and try to connect and be so grateful that we got this amazing career that we never expected,” Stefani says of literally getting back together.
“You have to remember, we were in No Doubt for nine years before ‘Just a Girl’ hit the radio. We didn’t do it to succeed. And so now to be here in 2024 and have that excitement about the announcement? That’s further,” she adds.

Stefani also admitted that she was “totally blown away” by the warm reception No Doubt received after the announcement, and “I definitely have that little thing in your stomach where you’re like, ‘Oh my God! What?'” she says of the butterflies. “It’s going to be amazing.”
The three-time Grammy winner, who is married to Blake Shelton, also has three sons with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. Following news of the Coachella reunion, Stefani says she shared a sweet moment with her youngest.

“I had to literally lay in bed with Apollo and he was like, ‘But mom, what is Coachella? Everyone says that. What is that? It sounds like a big deal.’ So we had to watch the “Don’t Speak” video, and he said, ‘But wait, who was your boyfriend?’ It was so weird and so funny. I literally had to tell him about every member of the band,” explains Stefani with a laugh.
