Gym User Says Her Boyfriend Criticized Her for Having Dr Pepper in Her Water Bottle: ‘Spluttering Angrily at Me’

The 20-year-old woman explained on the Reddit Forum “Am I ——-” that she and her 22-year-old boyfriend “Charlie” went to the gym, where he “angrily” responded to the discovery of Dr. Pepper in her water bottle.

“I love Dr. Pepper. I probably drink as a can, which, I completely know it’s not great, but I eat super healthy and religiously going to the gym,” the incident in her post on March 23.

“Yesterday night, before we went to the gym, I filled a bottle of Dr. Pepper’s water. I didn’t have it that day yet, and I longed for it bad,” she continued, adding that he was drinking water at the gym. “I made sure to say it Charlie, because he really didn’t like Dr. Pepper, and I didn’t want to drink something from my water bottle.”

She noted that he agreed “to avoid my bottle.” But things didn’t go as planned.

“Fully ahead when we wrapped up at the gym, Charlie had an intense set and he just grabbed the first bottle he saw, which is by accident,” the couple reminded. “Before I could even look at or respond, Dr. Pepper spit on the ground.”

“Tell him that you will put everything you want in your water bottle, and if he does not want a surprise, use your own,” one person replied. “He is an adult, he can surely understand how to fill and wear his own water bottle. … He has nothing to be angry with you, he did it to himself.”

Countless others could not believe his reaction to his own actions.

“This is emotional violent behavior,” wrote another commentator.

The Redditor elaborated: “He drank something that was not his, spat all over the floor as a spoiled child, knocked her in public when she did absolutely nothing wrong, blamed her for her actions, lost her cleaning after her, she took her own ride, now pushed and punished her silent treatment.”
