Gypsy Rose Blanchard is celebrating the opportunity to spend time with her family.
In an Instagram video posted Sunday in collaboration with the Lifetime network, the 32-year-old filmed herself wishing her followers a Happy New Year. Gypsy, who was released from prison last week, is set to share her story in an upcoming Lifetime docuseries Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard.
In Sunday’s video, Gypsy expressed how excited she is to spend New Year’s Eve with her family. “So, we want to welcome the new year together. It will be really great to spend some time with the family after such a long time,” she said.
She explained that she is celebrating the beginning of 2024 with her father Rod Blanchard, stepmother Kristy and husband Ryan Anderson.
After revealing her New Year’s Eve plans, Gypsy later posted a photo of her and her husband sharing a midnight kiss.
“New Year’s kiss with my hubby,” she captioned the photo.

The recent holiday posts follow several TikTok videos and Instagram photos showing Gypsy with family and friends celebrating her homecoming.
Gypsy was released early Thursday after serving eight years of a 10-year sentence. In 2016, she pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder of her mother Dee Dee Blanchard. Her boyfriend at the time, Nicholas “Nick” Godejohn, with whom she was scheming, was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.
Dee Dee subjected Gypsy to unnecessary medical treatment and convinced her daughter and others that Gypsy had a number of childhood illnesses. It was claimed in court that Gypsy was a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

“If I had the chance to do it all over again, I don’t know if I would go back to the time when I was a child and tell my aunts and uncles that I’m not sick and that my mom is making me sick or I would travel Let’s just go back to the point of that conversation with Nick and say to him: ‘You know what, I’m going to tell everything to the police,’ she said.
However, she also clarified: “No one will ever hear me say that I’m glad she’s dead or that I’m proud of what I did. I regret that every day.”
