HAIRY Bikers fans were left in tears as Dave Myers shared raw cancer news and insight into his treatment.
The TV presenter, 66, opened up about his heartbreaking diagnosis during the BBC’s Christmas special.

It appeared that he and Si King were primarily focused on food, but the spotlight was on Dave’s battle for health.
While viewers watched previously unseen clips of the chef’s hospital treatment, he also recalled the moment he received the diagnosis.
Dave said: “When I first got the call, what went through my head was disbelief and a refusal to believe it in a way.
“It’s a word, isn’t it, a word everyone fears.”

The TV favorite has been reluctant to reveal what type of cancer he is battling and still wants to keep it a secret.
He explained: “I didn’t want to eat. I would often fall over. By the second round of chemotherapy, my hair had really fallen out radically.
“Your hair, your eyelashes, everything just goes. I’ve never talked about what kind of cancer I have because I feel like it’s my business.”
On public knowledge of his illness and speculation, he said: “It’s not what I want. I felt so guilty about the effects it was having on my wife Lil.”
He added: “It was all about survival, getting from one week to the next.”
While viewers were moved by the intimate scenes and left in tears, they were delighted to learn that Dave was finally back on his bike after his 37th round of chemotherapy.
Si, 57, said: “I knew I had my man back. It was like a miracle because we thought he would never do it again. But he does.
“I was jumping for joy, not for any other reason but to see my best friend doing what he does.”
Reacting to the emotional scenes, one viewer said: “I watched the Hairy Bikers Christmas program tonight and I’m totally blown away by it.
“What a celebration of life, what a beautiful testimony of friendship.
“I’m glad Dave is still here to make such a wonderful program.”
Another posted: “Oh my god. So emotional but so lovely to see Dave looking so good and back on his bike with Si.”
Another said: “Not expecting to cry looking at hairy bikers. But asking what you want for Christmas and being told ‘you some more’.” He had me in pieces.”
Ahead of the broadcast of Hairy Bikers: Home For Christmas, Dave opened up about how he’s not sure if he’ll be alive for the holidays.
He told Metro: “This is a Christmas I never thought I’d be here to enjoy and thanks to these people I am, for which I’m grateful from the bottom of my heart.
“It’s not closure, since I’m still in treatment, but it’s a damn good milestone.”
