Halle Bailey Is 'So Excited' to Take Baby Son Halo on His First Disney Trip — but Here's Why She's Waiting (Exclusive)

Halle Bailey can’t wait to introduce her son to the charms of a Disney vacation.

In an exclusive chat with PEOPLE, the singer and actress, 24, opens up about eventually taking her toddler son Halo to a Disney theme park — but not until he’s old enough to fully appreciate it.

“I’m so excited to take him to Disneyland and Disney World for the first time,” says Bailey, who is a Disney princess herself after playing Ariel in the live-action remake The little mermaid.

“But I want him to be old enough to know what’s going on,” she continues. “So I ask myself: ‘What is the best age [to bring him?’]and people keep telling me that three or four years is just a good year, because they’ll know what’s going on.”

Bailey, who partnered with the Marriott Bonvoy Bold credit card from Chase for the new Bold Chat Court contest, says her son has already been on vacation with her.

“He’s the best travel partner,” she says of son Halo, who she welcomed in December 2023 with boyfriend DDG, 26.

“It’s so cool to see him getting excited about where we are and trying the food and liking it — because now he’s eating real food,” she adds. “It’s so cool to see.”

As for what Halo is like traveling at such a young age, Bailey says he never has to worry about him being embarrassed or having a seizure.

“He’s actually really good on the plane,” she explains. “I think it’s because I’ve had him on airplanes since he was very little, so he’s used to it.”

“He’ll be looking out the window. He’s so happy, and he’ll be, like, chattering loudly,” continues the musician, who is one half of sister duo Chloe x Halle.

Bailey is aware of the importance of family vacations within her clan, and that sentiment extends to her siblings — Chloe, Ski and Branson — who she tells PEOPLE she also loves to travel with.

“We love going on trips with our siblings,” she says, adding that sometimes it can be difficult to plan a getaway.

“Chloe and I are always flying all over the world, so it’s really hard for us to agree on a specific date so we can all be available,” she explains.

“But Thanksgiving is coming up, Christmas is coming up, and I feel like we all have those weekends where we can say, ‘Okay, we’re going to do something. Let’s all go somewhere together,'” says Bailey.
