Halle Bailey thanks her fans for supporting her.

On Tuesday, Bailey, 23, shared a message on her Instagram Story as she teased her upcoming Diversity cover story with Hunger Games star Rachel Zegler for the series Actors on Actors.

“I just also want to say that I’m so thankful for my true fans who respect women’s bodies and are full of love. ❤️ ✨,” Bailey wrote in the full text post, seemingly in response to the recent surge of speculation surrounding her personal life. “being under a microscope is not easy, but for the real ones who religiously show unconditional love, I appreciate you ❤️ ✨”

“I feel so blessed and grateful 🥰,” she added.

Bailey has experienced a significant amount of public scrutiny since racist backlash against her role as Princess Ariel in Disney’s 2019 live-action remake Little Mermaid, released earlier this year. She constantly spoke publicly about her experiences of living in the public eye. on Glamour At the Women of the Year Awards in October, Bailey took the opportunity to share similar words of wisdom with her fans, according to a clip from her speech shared on social media.

“It was an adjustment to live your life under that spotlight, but in the age of social media, in a way, we’re all living under that same lens – from our bodies, how our bodies look to what we wear to who we like to the things we care about everything is open to scrutiny,” Bailey said during that speech.

“So here’s my honest advice: Turn it off when you need to find inner peace, OK. But also, live your life for you,” she added. “Don’t waste your time living it up for social media. Everyone has an opinion, but the only opinion that matters is yours, and deep down you already know what’s good for you.”

Bailey’s approach to public scrutiny has remained consistent. “I don’t really think about the skeptics,” she told PEOPLE earlier this year, while debating Little Mermaid. “I just think about people who are positive and uplift me.”

Diversity announced Tuesday to publish Bailey’s conversation with Zegler in its entirety as part of its annual Actors About Actors series. Other duos appearing in the series are Cillian Murphy and Margot Robbie, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, Emma Stone and Bradley Cooper, and Jacob Elordi and Colman Domingo.

Bailey will next star with Domingo and a notable ensemble cast in the upcoming film musical Purplein theaters from December 25.
