Halle Berry Says Blake Lively Asked If She'd Play X-Men Role in Deadpool but Ryan Reynolds 'Never' Called

Another star almost joined the list of cameos Deadpool & Wolverine.

Halle Berry told Comicbook.com on Monday, Aug. 12, that Blake Lively has inquired about Berry, 57, joining Reynolds’ latest Deadpool sequel as her X-Men character, Ororo Munroe/Storm.

“Blake once asked me, I ran into her at the Marc Jacobs fashion show, and she said, ‘Would you ever be in my husband’s movie as Storm?’ I said, ‘Yes, if he asked me,’ but he never asked me,” she told the newspaper.

Reynolds, 47, was the film’s star, co-writer and producer. Shawn Levy directed and also worked on the screenplay with Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and Zeb Wells.

Since the film premiered on July 26, various actors have spoken about their cameo roles.

Snipes, 61, said Entertainment Weekly that while he “had very interesting conversations, some of them very meaningful and some of them not,” about recasting Blade, he “dwelled” on the idea of ​​”going from [the Blade franchise].”

Tatum, 44, thanked Reynolds for supporting his efforts to bring Gambit/Remy LeBeau to the big screen.
