Happy Valley’s James Norton splits from his fiancée Imogen Poots after six years

HE is a much sought-after actor – and now James Norton is one of Britain’s most sought-after bachelors.

The Happy Valley star, who is one of the favorites to be the next 007, has split from his fiancee Imogen Poots after six years.

It’s sad news for the couple who got engaged in February 2022.

But with James being my biggest crush, I’m hoping this is my chance – although I suspect millions of others will be thinking the same.

A source said: “James and Imogen have extremely busy jobs and it is difficult for them to see each other.

“They split up and went their separate ways last year.

“It wasn’t easy for either of them, but they keep their heads down and get on with things.”

The couple tied the knot after James’ two-year romance with Irish actress and singer Jessie Buckley ended in 2017.

At one point he and Imogen shared a home in East London, but now they’ve even unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Over the past week, James has been on the red carpet for the London and Los Angeles premieres of the Bob Marley biopic One Love, in which he plays Island Records founder Chris Blackwell.

But fans noticed Imogen was absent, and the pair have not been seen together in public since last March, when she attended the West End premiere of his play A Little Life.

Last year, James spoke about juggling his busy work life with his relationship and said: “It comes at a cost because you don’t see each other very often.

A love interest

“But we’re willing to pay it for the benefit of having someone in your life close to you who understands, who forgives, who will give up their Sunday to do a boring selfie (audition).”

This week bookmaker Coral has placed James third favorite to take over the role of James Bond at odds of 4-1, just behind Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Henry Cavill.

But something tells me he won’t need 007’s fancy tuxedo and gadgets to win a second love.

You know where I am if you want a date, James. I’m sure my boyfriend will forgive me.

CAITY HAS NO PROBLEM

CAITY BASER is one of UK pop’s most promising new stars and I’m sure her latest single will win her loads of new fans.

She invited Bizarre to join her on the set of the video for her song I’m A Problem – and she’s given us these exclusive snaps from the video, which drops at 10am today.

The song is about acceptance

The song is about accepting “too loud” or “annoying”

The Gobby song is about embracing being “too loud” or “annoying”, but it has a deeper meaning for Caity, who revealed she became a target of trolls due to her outspoken nature.

She said: “If you take time out of your day to hate me, you obviously love me and don’t hate me because you give me your time when you could be drinking water, exercising or doing grocery shopping.

“There’s a guy who comments on my stuff every day in long paragraphs and tells people how miserable I am.

“He called me a moon-faced thug. He is an old bald man. You just have to block it. I’m having a blast while he’s at home poking a 21-year-old.”

Caity is now preparing to release her debut mixtape, Still Learning, and go on tour next month.

She said: “I want to sell out my tour, I want to go to Glastonbury and I want a summer full of festivals.

“I want to be in the top ten with my mixtape – and then conquer the world.

“I have to kill or someone else will do better.”

BRITNEY: I AROUND J-LO’S HUSBAND BEN

BRITNEY SPEARS just can’t help but annoy people right now.

And now she’s risking the wrath of Jennifer Lopez just months after swearing at her ex Justin Timberlake.

Alongside the post – which she has now deleted after realizing it might not have been the best idea – she wrote: “He’s such an amazing actor.

“Did I forget to mention that I made out with Ben that night…I honestly forgot. Damn, that’s crazy. I wish I could tell you the story that happened before that! Oh, God, I’m just a gossip.”

It’s awkward timing considering J-Lo is set to release her new album in a week, which is all about her love for Ben.

Ever since Britney posted the photo, fans have started gossiping about themselves and suggesting the photo could have been taken more than two decades ago. . . around the time she was still dating the NSYNC star.

I’d keep schtum for a while, Brit.

THE LEGENDS RETURN FOR A HIT

IF you thought Band Aid was an A-lister, there’s nothing about the new charity being announced next Thursday.

Members of The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, Pink Floyd, Guns N’ Roses, Black Sabbath and more come together for a song that blows your mind.

Mark Knopfler led the creation of the nine-minute instrumental, which is a reworking of the song Going Home (Theme From Local Hero).

The song will begin with the last recording of the late guitarist Jeff Beck.

Bizarre first revealed that the song takes place back in May 2022.

Featured stars include Pete Towns-Hend, Joan Jett, Brian May, Ronnie Wood, Nile Rodgers, Sting, Ringo Starr, Sam Fender and Roger Daltrey.

It’s being issued for the Teenage Cancer Trust, so it’s all for a worthy cause.

No doubt about it, I’ll be playing my best air guitar as soon as it comes out.

ONE of my favorite new bands, Really Good Time, released their exciting single Retreat To The Cubicle today.

The Dublin lads recently supported Franz Ferdinand and are playing a string of gigs this spring – well worth checking out.

Nicola is film material

There is NO wiping the smile off Nicole Peltz’s face as she promotes the film she wrote, starred in and directed.

The American actress, who is married to Brooklyn Beckham, looked glamorous in this white mini dress as she headed to a TV studio in New York to talk about the movie Lola.

About how she ended up doing almost every job on set, she said, “I never planned to direct.

“All I knew was that I wanted a woman to direct this. That was very important to me.”

Mother-in-law Victoria joined her at the premiere last weekend and despite their rocky relationship, Nic now insists the Beckhams are “the most wonderful people in the world”.

Nice flattery, Nic.

THE BLUR LADS ARE THE REEL DEAL

BLUR returned last year with their ninth album The Ballad Of Darren, and now they’re releasing not one but two films.

The band is working on a feature-length documentary about their comeback and the recording of their first record after eight years.

It promises unlimited access to the group – Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Dave Rowntree and Alex James.

But in even more exciting news for fans, they will also be releasing a two-hour concert film of their comeback performances.

Blur: Live at Wembley Stadium will see the band performing to a total of 150,000 fans over two days, with all their greatest hits.

There are still no details on release dates, but both are expected to arrive at some point this year.

As a huge Blur fan, I can’t wait to relive that concert without having to queue for an overpriced pint.

USHER IS IN THE WAY

USHER will rollerblade on stage during his Super Bowl performance on Sunday – just as he did in his 100-show Vegas residency that ended in December.

The R&B star is expected to be watched by 120 million people worldwide during his halftime show between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.

He said: “For anyone who heard about my show but didn’t get to see it, you’re going to get the best of it.

“It was definitely a challenge to squeeze 30 years into 13 minutes.”

Usher has promised that there will be special guests during the performance

He added: “Apple has followed me through this whole process. The documentary followed all the moments.

“You’ll see everything from the moment I get the call to the moment I walk off the stage.”
