Hardwar Dubey (1949-2023) was an Indian politician associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is the current Member of Parliament of Uttar Pradesh. From June 24, 1991 to December 6, 1992, he served as Minister of State, Finance, Government of Uttar Pradesh. He died at Fortis Hospital in Delhi due to long-term illness on June 26, 2023.

In 1983, Hardwar Dubey became the Minister of Metropolitan Units. He served as the city’s president during the BJP national convention held at Kothi Meena Bazar Maidan.
He achieved a remarkable feat by contesting the elections for the first time in 1989 and won the Cantonment (Uttar Pradesh) seat which had been controlled by the Congress party since independence. The party recognized his abilities and gave him another chance in the 1991 election, and his performance was as expected. After his second win, he was appointed Minister of State for Institutional Finance in the state. But within a year he had to resign as minister due to controversy.
Then the tide changed and he faced challenges in demonstrating his electoral strength. Still, his influence within the organization remains unwavering. In 2005, he contested the by-election from Kheragarh assembly constituency but failed. Moreover, he had previously lost in the Agra-Firozabad Legislative Council elections.
In 2011, he served as national spokesperson, and in 2013, he was appointed national vice-president. On November 26, 2020, Hardwar Dubey was elected unopposed to the Lok Sabha from Uttar Pradesh.

Hardwar Dubey passed away at 4:30 am on June 26, 2023 at Fortis Hospital in Delhi after a long illness. The night before his death, he complained of sudden chest pain and was admitted to the hospital. He died at the age of 74. Many prominent BJP leaders condoled his death. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while expressing his grief on Twitter, wrote:
