A father of four was killed and his wife seriously injured in a horrific car accident in eastern Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Travis Canfield, 32, was first involved in a one-car crash around 10:45 p.m. local time on Callicoon Road in Damascus, according to a state police crash report.
Travis and his wife, Karson, “were riding side-by-side in their vehicle” when the “terrible motorcycle accident” occurred, but a GoFundMe for the family.
Police said Travis was “thrown onto the roadway” as a result of the crash. He was then struck by a 2015 Dodge Caravan also traveling on Callicoon Road.

The GoFundMe states that Travis was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. His wife, who was seriously injured in the accident, was airlifted to the hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit.
Travis and Karson share four children ages 11 and under, according to the GoFundMe campaign organizers: Parker, Natalie, Mason and Brantley.
GoFundMe organizers described Travis as a “devoted husband and loving father” who was the “sole breadwinner” of the family.

“Travis was hardworking, loyal, faithful and a true father and husband to his family,” organizers wrote. “He was a good friend to everyone in the community and was there when someone needed help.”
The father of four also attended all of his children’s soccer games and school events, they added, noting “whatever his kids needed him to be there for.”
“The word ‘dad’ and ‘husband’ and ‘trusted friend’ personify who he was as a person,” organizers said.

Fallon Quick, Karson’s brother, said on Facebook that the family is “heartbroken and picking up the pieces” after Travis’ sudden death.
“Please keep my sister Karson Canfield, her four beautiful children and our family in your thoughts and prayers,” he wrote in a Facebook post, with a link to the GoFundMe campaign. As of Thursday afternoon, more than $95,000 had been raised.
Donations can also be made by calling any bank and requesting a donation to the “Travis Canfield Memorial Fund,” according to the campaign.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️”, wrote the organizers.
