In 2013, he was inducted into their Hall of Fame after graduating from college. In 1981, he started playing in the lower leagues. In 1983, he was promoted to the triple A league. September Harold was in Triple-A, the Seattle Mariners invited him to the major league. He began his major league career with the Seattle Mariners in 1985, and led the American League with 60 stolen bases in 1987 and 1988, along with 11 triples. He wears jersey number four.
In 1896 he performed in Puerto Rico with the Mayaguez Indians. In 1993, Harold was a free agent. He signed a one-year deal with the Baltimore Oracles before returning to the San Diego Padres on January 1, 1994. By the time he retired, he had already won three Gold Gloves for his second basemanship.
He started working for ESPN after retiring from baseball because he wanted to be part of the world of sports. He worked there from 1996 to 2006. After problems with ESPN Network, he joined MLB as a commentator in June 2007. He has been an analyst for MLB Network since its inception on January 1, 2009.
