Barry McGuigan was very emotional as he told the rest of his inmates about his daughter’s tragic death.

This left the entire camp in tears, including Coleen, who explained to Dean McCullough and Oti Mabuse what she had been through.

Dean asked her, “What’s got you so upset?”

Coleen said: “My mum and dad lost my sister so I know exactly what she’s going through.

“It’s so sad for a family.”

Coleen explained: “I don’t usually get excited, it takes a lot, but to see, even when Rosie died, I saved it for them, my mum and dad.”

Dean added, “But then you have to let it out eventually.”

“That’s the thing,” Coleen replied.

“It’s when you’re away and in a different environment. It’s when you have time to stop and think.

“Rosie’s anniversary is in January.”

Dean asked when she died, to which Coleen replied: “She was 14 when she died, she would be 26 now.

“Losing a child is difficult.

“I’ve always said that … so we’re lucky to have what we have.”

Coleen’s parents Colette and Tony McLoughlin adopted Rosie, who had Rett syndrome.

Barry spoke about losing his daughter Danika in 2019, when she was just 33 years old.

She passed away weeks after being diagnosed with cancer.

Danika was diagnosed with acute lymphoid leukemia when she was 11 years old, and after two rounds of chemotherapy, everything was clear to her.

Barry revealed: “She had leukemia, when I was boxing Daniel Day Lewis, three weeks after the finish I had to leave because she was diagnosed with leukemia, they thought she wasn’t going to get better, but she fought back and won it.

“She had two years of chemotherapy. She was good, she came back…”

But later in life Danika was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer and tragically died five weeks later.

Former world champion Barry helped train Oscar winner Daniel Day Lewis for his role in the 1997 film The Boxer.
