Heather Rae El Moussa Says Son Tristan, 11 Months, ‘Changed My Life’: ‘The Best Addition to Our Family’

Heather Rae El Moussa loves her little boy!

The Selling Sunset star, 36, shared a post on Instagram on Saturday, celebrating welcoming son Tristan Jay in 2023 with husband Tarek El Moussa.

Posting a photo of 11-month-old Tristan playing in the sand on a beach in Newport Beach, California, Heather captioned her post, writing: “2023 brought me a boy who changed my life, brings me so much happiness and is the best addition to our family 🥹.”

“I’m entering 2024 with such a full heart 🫶🏻,” the reality star, who is also stepmom to Tarek’s two children — son Brayden James, 8, and daughter Taylor Reese, 13, who he shares with ex-wife Christina Hall — added.

In the comments section of his post, Tarek, 42, responded to the cute picture of the couple’s son, saying: “Oh the cutest❤️.”

Heather and Tarek had a son on January 31, 2023. Then they introduced their little one to the world with a joint post on Instagram, although they did not reveal his name or face.

“Our little son is here,” he said Flipping the El Moussas wrote the costars alongside a picture of a child being rocked by mom and dad. “Mom and baby are happy, healthy, tired, but fine. Our hearts are so happy ❤️.”

The couple announced they are expecting their first child together in July 2022. The reality stars told PEOPLE they were in the middle of IVF when they got a happy surprise.

It was a big shock, Heather said. “We just didn’t expect this. We just went through IVF. We had embryos on ice. We had a plan.”

Back in November, Heather opened up to PEOPLE about her experience with motherhood so far.

“It’s really the best experience,” she said. “I didn’t think I’d love being a mom as much as I do, and I really love being a mom. It’s my favorite thing.”

“It’s my time of my life and my favorite chapter of my life, and I just can’t wait to watch him grow and see all these little new things he does. It’s the best,” the proud mom added.

Earlier this month, Heather got Tristan’s name tattooed behind her right ear. She shared a close-up of her new ink in an Instagram post, which featured a large heart and her young son’s nickname in cursive.

“Before and after Tristan 🤍👉🏻 … it’s the little things 🥹,” Heather captioned the post, which also featured a pregnancy shot of her taken by Tarek.
