Heidi Klum is open about her Halloween plans!
Addressing exclusively to PEOPLE at America has talent Season 19 Finale 1 on Tuesday, September 17, Klum, 51, revealed that she had been working on her costume “for months.”
“Because molds have to be made,” she tells PEOPLE. “Prostheses must be made, connections must be made.”
“Yes, there is a lot because I wanted to be so spectacular that this is not something I can put together overnight,” she adds.
She goes on to talk about the pressure she feels to complete her annual outfit: “It takes a lot of time. It takes a lot of planning. And also when I do a reveal, I want to have a special reveal because I know I have so many fans, and those special Halloween fans are people who also like to dress up and come up with amazing things.”
“I feel like they really look at what I’m doing and I don’t want to let anyone down, so I always do my best,” she says.

Since the early 2000s, the supermodel has become known for wearing extravagant Halloween costumes at her iconic New York Halloween party.
Last year, AGT judge dressed as a peacock for her party at the Marquee nightclub in New York, sponsored by Patrón El Alto Tequila and Cirque du Soleil. The supporting artists also accompanied her as part of the costume and helped shape some of the peacock wings.
“I wanted to do a costume with many, many people,” she told PEOPLE ahead of the spooky holiday. “I wanted to have a bunch of people and all become one. And for me, in my mind, that one thing was a peacock.”

The year before, Klum dressed up as a worm at her annual party, while husband Tom Kaulitz followed her as a fisherman with a bloodshot eye.
Klum’s other costumes include a zombie mom, a werewolf, a zombie alien, Jessica Rabbit, Princess Fiona from Shrek and even clones of themselves.
