Hellen Buluma, Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Company of Malawi has resigned from her position. In a letter addressed to NOCMA Board Chair Colleen Zamba, Hellen Buluma announced that her last day in office is November 18, 2022.
According to the letter, Hellen Buluma says her decision took a long time after she took into account the peer pressure she faced in the past months from the chairman of the board, the secretary-general in the Ministry of Energy Alfonso Chikuni and others to bring new fuel to suppliers and investors of expensive fuel in an uncertain manner.
