Hemant was found dead at his residence in Jammu & Kashmir on Monday evening, October 3, 2022. According to the initial police investigation, he was allegedly killed by his domestic help identified as Jasir who is the prime suspect in the case.
He is currently on the run and a search has been launched for him. According to police, Hament allegedly applied oil to his foot when he choked to death, and then a broken piece of ketchup bottle was used to cut his throat.
Burns were also found on his body, which show that the killer tried to set his body on fire. Only after the guards outside saw the fire did they break down the door.
The terrorist group The Resistance Front (TRF) also claimed responsibility for the murder on social media, but the police did not provide any confirmation of their involvement.
