Himmat Sandhu was born in 1997 in Lakhimpur, Uttar Pradesh (22 years old; as of 2019). His family originated from Tarantharam in Punjab.

He attended a school in Lakhimpur. Himmat’s uncle was a singer, and after listening to his songs, he also became interested in music. Himmat wanted to be a singer since he was a child. He participated in singing competitions at school and was highly praised by friends and teachers. Sandhu relocated to Bathinda after completing 12th standard. He joined Baldeep Singh’s music academy and studied the details of music for two years. He then participated in the seventh season of the singing reality show “The Voice of Punjab” and secured second place in the show.
