Hoda Kotb may have become the coolest parent at her daughter Haley’s school.
Haley, 7, joined her mom on an immersive field trip along with her first grade class on Tuesday morning. Kotb’s oldest daughter brought about 20 first-graders to watch Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager lead Today show.
Kotb, 59, revealed that the kids were given the opportunity to read from a teleprompter before their TV debut. After the camera started, Kotb and Bush Hager (42) were greeted by two rows of kids who welcomed them with fan pompoms.
“I have a question,” Kotb then asked the students. “Is this the best trip you’ve ever had?”
“THAT!” the happy students rejoiced.
“You set the bar very high,” Bush Hager added.
“I’m so happy,” Kotb replied simply.
“Hoda is now the most popular mom in the whole school,” joked Bush Hager.

The children and their teachers then sat off-camera next to the co-hosts’ desks as they hosted their show. Before the hosts began their show, Haley joined her mom for a moment to discuss the exciting outing.
“Hey Haley, come over here for a second,” Kotb called to her daughter. Haley happily obeyed and jumped into her mom’s lap, smiling from ear to ear. “Is it fun to have the whole class here?” Kotb asked.
Beaming in front of the cameras — and her mom — Haley replied, “Yes!”
“Do you like that?” the mother of two asked.
Bush Hager chimed in and asked, “Haley, is your mom the best mom ever?” prompting Haley to nod enthusiastically in agreement.
“We are so happy because she has such wonderful children in all the classes that came today. And they were so polite, kind, cooperative and amazing,” Kotb added. “Happy day trip!”
“So Hoda does everything; she’s the show host, she’s the tour host, and she’s the mother,” Bush Hager said. “She really can do anything.”

As the series went on, Kotb shared that her daughters, Haley and Hope, 4, like to play their version of “Hoda and Jenne” — but Haley likes to take on the role of Bush Hager. That was until this morning’s broadcast, when Bush Hager asked who Haley preferred to be, and Haley changed her answer to say she now likes being her mom.
