Holly Marie Combs has spoken out after Alyssa Milano denied having an ex Enchanted actress Shannen Doherty fired from the series.
In a new Instagram video, made from screenshots of Combs’ statement, the actress said she was “disappointed” in her former co-star, Milan, 51.
“I feel the need to defend myself after the many continuous attacks that have come since Alyssa came on stage and basically called Shannen and I liars when she was simply asked how it was working with Rose [McGowan],” Combs, 50, began.
In her statement Monday, Combs reaffirmed that their recollection “is not revisionist history,” which Milano has previously called their versions.
“This is just history [Milano] he didn’t want people to know about it. And history that Shannen wasn’t ready to talk about until a month ago,” Combs wrote. “No one should lie about their own life for the comfort of another.”
Combs said that “for a long time, she wanted the girls to just get along for something bigger than anything [them] combined,” adding, “It wasn’t in the cards. Sure.” Combs admitted as much after Enchantedshe told her colleagues “to quit their jobs [each] else.”

The actress explained how “ironic” it is that Milano claimed she “doesn’t have the power to fire anyone” when “this is really all about power.”
“Let me explain what she had the power to do,” Combs wrote. “She had the power to stop the process at any point. She had the power not to talk to the mediator/therapist who was brought in to protect the profits.”
“And when the producers said okay we’re going to let Shannen go, Alyssa also had the power to say no, I don’t want that. But it is not. She had the power to say no just like Shannen said no. I don’t want you to replace Alyssa when she poses for you with the same option. Because she was a child actor supporting a family just like Alyssa does and she understood the great importance and responsibility of that,” shared Combs. “Even now it hurts me to write this. It was heartbreaking then, and it is now.”

Combs speculated that the producers “knew it was easier” to keep the three women “divided instead of united.” She speculated, “3 broken parts were easier to manipulate than one united front. Which would be more expensive and cut into their precious profit margin.”
She concluded the post and declared that “in the end everything turned out as fate wanted”.
“Enchanted it was made for all of you and in the end, the truth is that we are all, despite our differences, incredibly grateful for this dysfunctional family in every way,” she concluded.

During a Who’s the boss? panel at MegaCon Orlando on Friday, Milano said the allegations that she was involved in Doherty’s firing made her “sad.” The following day, Milano spoke out in an Instagram post, writing that she “didn’t have the power to fire anyone” and that “the studio, Aaron Spelling and the network made the decision to protect the international hit that was Enchanted.”
“I’m sad that people can’t get past it,” Milano said Friday. “I’m sorry we can’t all just celebrate the success of a show that meant so much to us all.”
Combs’ statement follows appearances by her, Doherty and Rose McGowan at MegaCon Orlando.
On Sunday, Combs, Doherty and McGowan appeared at the same convention Enchanted panel, where Doherty tearfully asserted that she was telling her truth about the situation.
Doherty then read the notes she had prepared the night before: “We simply told the truth because the truth actually matters. But we wanted to try to save you, the fans, from heartbreak as much as humanly possible.”
“We said it together, we said our truths and we stand by our truths,” Doherty added of her and Combs’ claims. “There’s no revisionist history going on in the truth that I know we’ve said… There’s no delay to set up, no mediator that takes months. I remember the facts as if I were still living in them.”
She added that “what someone else might call a drama, for me is a real trauma that I have lived with for an extremely long time” because she became emotional again.
