Ringland was born in Sydney, Australia, in 1983. She worked as a journalist and editor after graduating from the University of Technology Sydney with a degree in creative writing.
The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, Ringland’s debut book, was published in 2016. The book was a critical and financial success and was shortlisted for the 2016 Miles Franklin Award. The Australian Broadcasting Corporation also turned the book into a television series.
The Secret of Peacock Hill, Ringland’s second book, was published in 2018. The book was also a commercial and critical success, and was shortlisted for the 2018 Indie Book Award.
The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart: The Gift, Ringland’s third book, was published in 2021. The book is a sequel to The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart.
