A WOMAN has stunned the Dragons’ Den team with a bizarre product she claims has helped her treat chronic fatigue.
Giselle Boxer, 31, made history in last night’s episode when she unveiled her unique “ear seeds” – leaving Deborah Meaden speechless and receiving a record six offers.

Giselle, from Sheffield, was 26 and working for a top advertising agency when she was diagnosed with ME (myalgic encephalomyelitis).
The condition left her housebound and doctors told her she would never recover, work or have children again.
However, with the help of diet, acupuncture, Chinese herbs and “ear seeds”, she claims she fully recovered and became pregnant.
Ear seeds are tiny beads without needles, based on the principles of acupuncture, which are placed in the ear to stimulate nerve endings.
Giselle’s return to health inspired her to start Acu Seeds with the goal of helping others recover from similar conditions – including anxiety and migraines.
Acu Seeds sells gold-plated and silver-plated ear seeds with the intention of combining fashion and healing.
A young entrepreneur came to Zmajeve; Gary Neville, 48, Peter Jones, 57, Deborah Meaden, 64, Touker Suleyman, 70, Sara Davies, 39, and Steven Bartlett, 31, are seeking a £50,000 investment for 10 per cent of her Acu Seeds business.
Her story made quite an impression and after learning about her job, all six dragons made her an offer.
And shockingly, five of them for the amount she wanted.
Neville said: “I live in a predominantly female family and if I went home and said I didn’t invest in you, my mum, my sister, my wife, my two little girls, I don’t think you would ever forgive me!
“So I’m going to take the pressure off you in terms of having one offer.
“I’m not going to cut you, I’m going to offer all the money you asked for, for the percentage you asked for.”
Meaden was speechless after the pitch and said, “I have 1,001 questions otherwise and I’m just sitting here thinking, ‘Now I’m just coming up with questions.’
“I’m asking you because I’ve decided I’m going to make an offer.”
She offered all the money and 10 percent of the work.
The same was offered by Davies, Jones, Suleyman.
However, Bartlett offered all the money for 15 percent of her work.
Jones said, “Oh, you don’t want that then!”
Neville cut in, “He’s not a dragon… he’s a snake!”
After thinking about her decision, Giselle said: “I was told I was going to meet a man called Stephen and he was going to be very important, and that was before any of this happened.
“I would really like to work with you. Would you be flexible about 15 percent?”
Bartlett asked, “What’s your counter offer?”
Giselle told him half past twelve.
“Giselle… You’re done,” he told her.
Speaking to the camera, Giselle said: “Unbelievable, I’d be happy with one. To get it all, and to get Stephen, it’s just a dream come true!
“I just want to make my daughter proud.”
There is no cure or effective treatment for ME/CFS, but sufferers are turning to alternative medicine to relieve symptoms.
Studies have shown that acupuncture can give some people short-term relief from symptoms including headaches and chronic pain.
Elsewhere in the episode, Neville fought back tears as he made an ‘amazing’ offer to Man City fan Liam Browne.
Dragons’ Den fans were also left stunned as Neville dismissed a fellow footballer’s business pitch on the BBC show.
What are the signs and symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)?
Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a long-term illness with a wide range of symptoms. The most common symptom is extreme fatigue.
CFS is also known as ME, which is short for myalgic encephalomyelitis.
It can affect anyone, including children, but is more common in women and tends to develop between the mid-20s and mid-40s.
In addition to extreme fatigue, people may experience other symptoms, including:
- sleep problems
- muscle or joint pain
- headaches
- sore throat or inflamed glands that are not swollen
- problems with thinking, memory or concentration
- flu-like symptoms
- feeling dizzy or nauseous
- fast or irregular heartbeat (palpitations)
