How the Iconic Friends Couch (and a Ton of Cute Rachel and Monica Sweaters!) Could Be Yours

It’s one you can own a part of Friends history.

To celebrate the upcoming 30th anniversary friends Premiering in 1994, Julien’s Auctions is launching a nostalgic auction of gems from the set, including sweaters worn by stars Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston and one very famous orange couch.

The auction itself will be held on Monday, September 23 (Friends debuted on September 22) both in person in Los Angeles and online.

The expensive item is expected to be a replica of the group’s favorite orange Central Perk couch (above). It is estimated that a studio-made couch will cost $2,000 to $3,000. A studio-made replica of the store’s sign will also be available.

Other highlights include a blue denim coat trimmed with faux fur (worn by Lisa Kudrow’s Phoebe Buffay in Season 7 Episode 18, “The One With Joey’s Award”) and a studio-made reproduction of the Trolls-inspired Geller Cup trophy prop, the original used in the production season 3, episode 9, “The One with the Soccer Ball.”

There are also several studio reproductions of the original scripts with commentary, a bicycle used by Cole Sprouse as a young Ben Geller, and outfits worn by guest stars including Morgan Fairchild, Anna Faris, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Bruce Willis and more.

Friends fashionistas will love the purple button-down shirt and tie worn by James Michael Tyler’s Gunther in season 10, episode 9, “The One With The Birth Mother,” alongside the cozy gray sweater worn by Aniston’s Rachel Green in season 7, episode 16 under titled “The One With The Truth About London” and the memorable striped number worn by Cox’s Monica Geller in Season 9, Episode 15, “The One With The Mugging”. Outfits worn by all six original stars of the series are estimated to sell for $1,000 to $1,500. In total, around 110 items will be available.
