Nicole Kidman Felt 'Exposed' Making Erotic Thriller Babygirl: 'This Is Something You Do and Hide in Your Home Videos'

Nicole Kidman is preparing for the debut of the film in which she invested everything.

Talking about your movie Girl with Vanity Fair ahead of its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, the actress, 57, explained how the role “torn me”.

“At some point I thought, I don’t want to be touched. I don’t want to do this anymore, but at the same time I was forced to do it. [Director Halina Reijn] he would hold me and I would hold her, because it was very contradictory for me,” she told the newspaper.

“It’s like, ‘God, I’m doing this, and the world is actually going to see it now.’ It’s a very strange feeling,” Kidman added. “This is something you do and hide in your home videos. It’s not something the world will usually see.”

The Oscar winner stars with Harris Dickinson and Antonio Banderas Girlin which Kidman portrays a business executive who begins an affair with an intern (Dickinson) at her company. Banderas plays the husband of Kidman’s character.

“I felt very exposed as an actor, as a woman, as a human being,” Kidman said. “I had to go in and out like I had to put the protection back on. ‘What did I just do? Where did I disappear? What have I done?’ ”

Elsewhere in the interview, the actress stated that she still hasn’t seen the film and hasn’t decided whether she will watch it at the premiere. “I’ve made some films that are quite revealing, but not like this,” she said.

After Kidman told the paper that people working at A24 and independent films “share heart and soul” while making films, the actress seems reluctant to explain what she took away from the experience.
