Was elected as the Conservative candidate in the local elections for the London Borough of Greenwich Council on several occasions; however, he was unable to win any of them. In 1998, he stood for parliament in the St Alfege district. In 2002, he was selected as a candidate for the Greenwich West District Council election; however, he lost by 447 votes. In 2006, he was elected as a candidate for Charlton in the Greenwich election.
