Ice Spice Shuts Down Ozempic Rumors After Weight Loss: 'You Never Heard of a Gym?'

Ice Spice dismisses rumors about how she recently achieved her weight loss.

On August 19, the 24-year-old “Princess Diana” rapper hosted an X Spaces chat where she discussed allegations that she was taking Ozempic, an FDA-approved prescription drug for people with type 2 diabetes.

It’s one of the brand names for semaglutide — also known as Wegovy — which works in the brain to make you feel full and is the latest Hollywood weight-loss trend.

“I wish you never learned the word Ozempic. That’s one thing I want,” she said on the platform, formerly known as Twitter. “Oh my god, like, what is Ozempic anyway? What the hell is it? Really, what is it?”

Ice Spice is currently on a world tour following the release of his long-awaited debut album Y2K! and insisted that her busy schedule had caused her to lose weight.

“Like, you lazy bitches have never heard of a gym?” she continued. “It’s called the gym. It’s called eating healthy. It’s called being on tour. Like, what the hell? Maybe it would be easier for me to stay big if I sat at home all day.”

The Grammy nominee isn’t the only celebrity to deny taking Ozempic for weight loss as weekly injections continue to trend.

Earlier this year, 50 Cent hit back at claims he used drugs for his 43 lb. weight loss.

“Everyone is talking about losing weight. I was at the gym. I’ve been fucking working, man. Who says Ozempic? I ran,” he insisted in an Instagram video. “I ran, I did what I had to do.”

“You saw me on tour. I was running around,” he continued. “I was 253 pounds, I got down and now I’m 210. Wow, how do you feel about that?”

Other stars who have denied taking Ozempic include Scheana Shay, Ashley Benson, Julia Fox, Jessica Simpson, Garcelle Beauvais and others.
