Ice Spice's 2024 BET Awards Performance of 'Phat Butt' and 'Think You the S— (Fart)' Is Literally Explosive

Ice Spice gave an explosive performance at the 2024 BET Awards.

On Sunday, June 30, the “Munch” singer played two songs from her upcoming debut album. Y2K.

Taking the stage in a sexy white two-piece with lace sleeves, complete with furry white boots — and, of course, her signature red curls — the rapper kicked off her performance with her latest song from her upcoming album, “Phat Butt.”

Accompanied by several male and female backup dancers — wearing either purple jackets or black leather jackets with cropped bikini tops underneath — the musician set her performance against a stage made to look like a city, complete with graffitied garage doors, her dancers pulling out some moves from the top of the motorcycle and the entire propeller gas station.

Closing out her set, Ice Spice segued into her highly memorized, goofy song, “Think You the S— (Fart).” The rapper ended her set with a sexy syncopated dance number that ended with two of her backup dancers holding out proper lighters — and “blowing up” the gas station behind her in an explosion of light and fire on the screen behind her.

Ice Spice is also nominated for three awards at this year’s ceremony, following her debut at the 2023 BET Awards. She could take home awards for Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Best Collaboration and Video of the Year for “Barbie World” with Nicki Minaj and Aqua.

The Grammy-nominated Bronx native announced the release of her first LP in early June on social media.

“HIIII >.< ," she wrote to fans, "Y2K ☆ ALBUM WILL BE ON JULY 26!!!!"

Ice Spice hinted Y2K back in November when she shared photos of herself on Instagram flaunting a tattoo on her lower back.

“Y2K! ?/?/24,” she captioned the post.

Ice Spice also shared the album cover, confirming that it was shot by legendary photographer and “Goat” David LaChapelle.

Ice Spice drops boastful new single ‘Phat Butt’ — watch the music video!

Along with the album announcement, Ice Spice also revealed that they will be embarking on a world tour that kicks off on Thursday, July 4 in Roskilde, Denmark.

The tour will be the rapper’s first global outing, and she’ll be joined by her longtime producer RIOTUSA and fellow Bronx rapper/special guest Cash Cobain on the North American dates.

Ice Spice will tour Europe and the UK before making stops in US cities such as Washington, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and New York.
