Ice-T’s Daughter Chanel Takes Over the Law & Order: SVU Set: 'Someone's Trying to Take Daddy's Job'

Ice-T’s daughter is ready for her close-up!

The rapper and actor (66) and his wife Coco Austin shared on Instagram on Friday, August 2, a joint post of their daughter Chanel (8) on the set of the movie Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.

“Offstage, Law and order, somebody’s trying to take daddy’s job,” Austin, 45, said behind the camera at the beginning of the video, focusing on her daughter sitting at the table.

The rest of the clip consisted of footage of Chanel touring, watching scenes on a monitor and operating the camera with the help of a crew member.

Chanel also posed with her parents for a photo on set, and later sat at Mariska Hargitay’s character Olivia Benson’s desk while using her phone in the final clip.

There, someone changed the name tag “Capt. Olivia Benson” to a handwritten sign that read “Capt. Chanel” instead.

“Oh no @babychanelnicole is taking over @nbclawandorder,” Austin captioned her post. “Watch out directors, cameramen [sic] and even a music video by Olivia Benson! Don’t sleep on this fish! She does everything!”

Hargitay, 60, was not seen on set on the day of Chanel’s visit, but left a message of support for the little girl in the comments section of the post. “Thank God, someone’s holding the fort!!!” she wrote.

Production included ALL recently resumed operations after a summer hiatus, when Ice-T was busy touring with his group Body Count over the summer.

He told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview in June that family members from his crew are coming on tour with him this time around.

“Everybody goes. We have two tour buses. We have a family bus, with the wives and children of all the guys. Our front bus is driven by women,” he said.

In addition to Chanel, Ice-T has two grown children from previous relationships: LeTesha Marrow (48) and Tracy Marrow (32).
