Idris and Sabrina Elba have a special way of bonding as a couple.
“I love showering together, even though we have really funny memories of showering together,” Sabrina, 35, tells PEOPLE exclusively as she and her husband have been named ambassadors for Calvin Klein’s iconic Eternity fragrance franchise.
“We have two sinks, separate sinks, right next to each other. And it’s funny because we’re doing the exact same thing because we started a skincare brand [S’ABLE Labs]. We both use the exact same products,” she continues. “He does it really fast, and I’m like, ‘Wait, my toner is still setting.’ But we’re like, ‘OK, he’s there. I’m here.’ It feels like it’s part of our day.”
“When we can get up at the same time and someone doesn’t have to be very early, it’s really nice, because we can get in the shower and enjoy that moment, drink coffee together, which isn’t quite the case. A lot happens, unfortunately,” adds Sabrina . “I think selfless taking care of yourself with the community and your partner and whoever is very beautiful.”

Idris and Sabrina first met at a party in Vancouver while the actor was filming a movie The mountain between us.
“It was love at first sight,” said Idris during a guest appearance on View. “I went out on my only day off, true story, it was a Sunday night, I went to this party and there she was. The rest is history.”

He later proposed to a stunned Sabrina at the Rio Cinema in London in February 2018. The cinema confirmed the news, writing in a post on X, formerly Twitter, “First another @riocinema! 5 days until Valentine’s Day but @idriselba got down on one knee this morning and proposed to his girlfriend live on stage before the premiere of his movie #Yardie.”
The couple then tied the knot during a three-day wedding extravaganza in April 2019. “I think getting married to my beautiful wife is the best thing that happened to me in 2019,” Idris later told PeopleTV on the red carpet. “We had whole families there, so it was just amazing.”

According to Sabrina, one thing she loves about her husband is the way he smells.
“Idris has a musk that he uses as a body oil, and anyone who knows him knows that’s his scent,” she tells PEOPLE. “I like him. He embodies him to me.”
As for his style, Sabrina says: “Idris is definitely simple, timeless and sexy to me. He doesn’t have to lift a finger. He just walks out the door, this confident sexy guy. He can be in a pair of flip-flops and a sweatpants, and I’m just saying: ‘Wow, you’re going to be on the best dressed lists’. And it always does, effortlessly.”
Idris, for his part, adds about his wife: “I think Sabrina is fresh because she likes the latest and the coolest. And she’s elegant no matter what she wears, whether it’s a tracksuit or a ball gown, she looks elegant.”
