I recently moved in with my boyfriend and that meant we had to get very creative with how we organized the space to fit all of our stuff into one room.
As an avid reader, I usually comb through one book a month. It (literally) piles up when you’re sharing space with someone who also reads quite a lot. I’m all for optimizing small spaces, but never at the expense of compromising my boho design aesthetic. So I’ve been on the hunt for stylish and practical decor to free up space in our room, and one of my favorite finds are these floating shelves from Amazon.

Once they arrived, the shelves were so easy to put up. The set comes with two sturdy shelves and a sturdy mounting bracket. The shelves can hold up to 50 pounds after being drilled into the wall brackets, and I currently have 32 books and a large pothos plant resting on them.

Once installed, the shelves are locked in place and won’t tilt despite how much they hold. Each floating shelf is made of pine. Although I ordered the 24 inch shelves, you can also catch them in 16 inch, 30 inch and 36 inch shelves.
You can also place other items on the shelves. I ordered one set for my apartment in Hawaii, but when I lived in an even smaller space in New York, I had six shelves to house my shoe collection. The possibilities are endless in terms of how you can use them.
And I’m not the only one who loves them — the popular shelves have more than 3,000 perfect ratings on Amazon. “As soon as I opened the box, I was very impressed,” said one reviewer. “The wood is beautiful and very strong. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow.”

“It’s such a great way to take up wall space in a unique way instead of just hanging pictures,” someone else wrote.
A third person said the quality was top notch: “We’ve already gotten a few compliments on them from guests in our home.”
Right now you can get Homeforia floating shelves for 39 percent off any stain: unfinished, honey oak, American walnut, white and black. For those looking for a stylish way to organize their bedrooms, bathrooms or kitchens, these floating shelves are a must-have.
