I’m Having a Spanx Girl Summer: Here Are the Pieces I’m Carrying Through to Fall

I don’t really live like a Brat girl summer. More like a tired-mom-running-around-two-small-children-with-a-bottle-of-sunscreen girl summer. But thanks to Spanx, I still renovated my wardrobe. Yes, you read that right, Spanx. And let’s not even talk about fashion for shaping (which I’ve been wearing for years). I’m talking about everyday clothes. One thing I learned very quickly: if you’ve been sleeping on Spanx’s extensive clothing collection, it’s time to wake up.

The MVP of my Spanx collection: these cropped wide leg jeans that I got in an ecru wash. Spanx denim has four-way stretch fabric and a built-in waistband that helps support and define your curves, and the flare made my legs look long. My biggest concern before trying them on was that the zipless, pull-on silhouette would veer into jeggings territory (IYKYK), but the jeans had nice structure as soon as I pulled them on and didn’t stretch. The off-white shade is also the perfect shade to bring into fall (yes, you can wear white jeans after Labor Day!).

I also loved how the jeans worked so well with most of the tops in my wardrobe – from a knit sweater to a simple black tee and cropped jacket. (I loved them so much, I even made a TikTok — don’t judge my transitions.)

Spanx also offers a variety of staple workwear and suit options that can be worn to the office and/or combined for various events. After seeing vests trending all over my FYP, I was excited to try Spanx’s take on the tailored classic, which is also a huge transitional wardrobe piece right now.

The piece looks polished but is actually so simple, and I was pleased with how versatile it was; I’ve paired it with everything from the brand’s matching shorts to jeans. It’s now at the top of my rotation for days when I know I have an event after work.

I’ve never met a stripe I didn’t like, but this one in particular blew me away: the light-as-air luxury fabric is super soft, so I wore it all the time (and I really love it for travel).

I went on three trips this summer and I wore this overall on all three days of the trip! (I promise: it’s so easy to slip on and off during a bathroom break!) I usually pair it with sneakers, but I also like the idea of wearing it with loafers and a denim jacket for a dressier look.

Meet the perfect tee (Gwyneth Paltrow’s favorite!) to throw over your back-to-school workout clothes. Pulls together a casual gym look in seconds. I also styled it with jeans and a t-shirt.
