Imtiaz Khan is a popular Indian actor. His brother, late Bollywood actor Amjad Khan, was known as Gabbar Singh.

Imtiaz Khan was born on Thursday, October 15, 1942, in Peshawar, British India (now Pakistan) (he died aged 77). He was educated at St. Andrew’s High School, Bandra, Mumbai. He studied at RD National College and completed his graduation.

He was reportedly married to a woman named Roshan, a junior film artist, in the early 1980s, but they later separated. Imtiaz Khan’s second wife is popular television actress Krutika Desai, who has appeared in Dekh Bhai Dekh (1993), Chandrakanta (1994) and Mere Angne Mein” (2015) and other TV series. Imtiaz and Krutika adopted a girl named Ayesha Khan.

Profession
While in college, he began to act in plays. He has directed many theater productions including Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon, Loot and Chuchun Karti Aai Chidiya.

He started his career as a Bollywood director with the film Zindagi Ki Raahen, but the film was shelved. He later directed many Bollywood films, but most of them were shelved. Later, he assisted Bollywood director Chetan Anand in several films. He has directed and produced several Gujarati television serials. He also directed Hindi television serials such as “Ankahi” (1982) and “Noor Jahan” (2000) for Doordarshan.
